Privacy and data handling: what the vendor says about data use, and whether business-grade controls exist.
Support and reliability: documentation, help channels and signs of consistent updates.

How we research

We start with the vendor’s own documentation, pricing pages and terms.
We use the tool ourselves where possible and base our notes on real tasks, not feature lists.
When we have not tested a tool or a feature hands-on, we say so clearly instead of implying that we did.
We cross-check claims against independent sources and user feedback.
We record the date each page was last checked, because prices and features change often.

How we rank

Rankings in our best-of lists reflect how well a tool fits a specific use case or type of business, not which vendor pays more. Every list explains why each tool is included and who it is best for, and we list real limitations, not only strengths.
